The Company
Changing Perspective focuses on representing mental health and mental health treatment in a positive light. We want everyone to have access to help without fear or judgement. Therapy is more than talking about your problems. At Changing Perspective, we strive to help people become a better version of themselves and experience life in a new and healthier way. We seek to increase knowledge about mental health and empower communities to access the help that they need.
The Provider
Chavon is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor Supervisee. She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University. Chavon has an eclectic theoretical approach to meet the needs of her clients, however her primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She believes when people are cognizant of how their thoughts influence their feelings and behavior, they will be able to make the necessary changes in their thoughts to resolve problems and change habits.
Chavon started her counseling journey after dealing with her own struggles with depression and anxiety. She is passionate about educating others on mental health and believes that everyone should be free to live their life on their own terms.
In her free time, Chavon enjoys listening to music, traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and trying new things.
